Abstract

AbstractThe skin is a living tissue that behaves in a hyperelastic anisotropic way. To model the skin, we propose an accurate, constitutive law called HGO-Yeoh. This model is implemented in a finite element code FER “Finite Element Research” [4] in order to benefit from its tools, including the bi-potential contact method: a method coupling contact and friction which is more efficient than traditional ones. Identification of parameters of the skin-related material is made with an optimization procedure. A tensile test is simulated using the numerical code FER and ANSYS. The results are compared with the experimental data. A simulation of an indentation test using a bipotential contact law is also performed. KeywordsBiomechanicsContactAnisotropic hyperelasticity
