Abstract

A sensor based on a grid analyzer and a three-layer bolometer with a bismuth thermistor is described. The sensor has a time resolution of 1.5–2 μs and a sensitivity of 10–5–10–6 J/cm2. The use of grids at a retarding potential allows for the separate detection of the energy contributions of charged and neutral particles and the radiation within the absorption spectrum of the receiving plate of the bolometer. The energy spectrum of charged particles can also be determined.
