Abstract
This paper presents and analyze the impact of some initiatives performed in recent years by our university, Politehnica University of Timisoara as to increase the quality and academic retention in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) higher education. Based on a profound analyze of the existing situation, actions involving the ecosystem Professors – Companies – Students are included.
