Abstract

ABSTRACT The two zone composite reservoir analytical model is used in the interference test interpretation of a conceptual oil reservoir under continuous steam injection. This application of the composite reservoir model in well test analysis has not been reported before. In addition, the study presents a useful approximation to the two zone composite reservoir model solution at the observation well (external zone), which is used to perform a sensibility analysis of the type curves as a function of the mobility ratio and the distance to the discontinuity. Although this analysis can be found in the literature, the type curves behavior presented in this paper as a function of the mobility ratio is new.
