Abstract

A simple calculation method for analyzing the space-charge field in an insulating film is presented. The method is based on ionic hopping, and both drift and diffusion in the space-charge field are taken into account. Basic equations are derived directly from a physical model of ionic motion in a film. The dielectric dispersion due to ionic space charge polarization and thermally stimulated current due to mobile ions are analyzed both theoretically and numerically. >
