Abstract

For pt.I see ibid., vol.3, p.1941 (1973). Earlier work by the same authors is completed to give formulae from which may be calculated the dependence on any symmetry conserving stress of any principal extreme cross sectional area in beryllium, magnesium, zinc and cadmium. Comparison with de Haas-van Alphen experiments will be made elsewhere.
