Abstract

Objective To analyse the therapeutic effect of transcranial microsurgical decompression of optic canal in treatment of traumatic optic nerve injuries. Methods Retrospective analysis of the operation timing, therapeutic effect and related factors affect of it in 27 cases.. Results Thirteen eases with the vision of no light perception, surgical effective rate is 23.1%, 11 cases with light perception, effective rate is 63.6% ; hand movement effective rate is 100%. The total effective rate is 48.1%. without surgical complication. All of the effective patients undergoing operative within 2 weeks. Conclusion Simple optic nerve compression, the patients with beyond light perception vision, the therapeutic effect with early and fully decompression of optic canal is curative effect.
