Abstract

As the capital of China, Beijing subway got high-speed development. In the paper, we present the empirical study on the urban subway of Beijing. The empirical results show that the urban subway network has high clustering coefficient and small character path length, which exhibits small-world behavior, and the degree distributions take power function forms. Furthermore, we also have studied the fractal scaling of this network from different times and find that the subway network exhibits the property of fractal scaling networks.
