Abstract

The measured charge transport characteristics of vitreous 0.55 As2S3: 0.45 Sb2S3 are analysed on the basis of a theory developed for the anomalous carrier drift, controlled by capture in traps distributed in energy. For the case of an exponential trap distribution the dependence of the activation energy εa on the field E and the thickness L is calculated as well as the temperature dependence of the dispersion parameter α(T). A comparison of the theoretical dependence and experimental εa versus E/L and 1/α versus 1/T curves obtained for 0.55 As2S3: 0.45 Sb2S3 allows to draw conclusions about the magnitudes of some parameters of this material.
