Abstract

Since reform and opening, educational sociology in mainland China has, over a twenty-year period, passed from restoration and reconstruction to gradual development. Changes in research topics in this period clearly indicate advances in the discipline but also reflect problems of "internationalization and indigenization." An analysis and documentation of the changes in research topics will help in the future development of China's educational sociology.
