Abstract

We in America, where conumunication and education via newspapers, radios, television, billboards, etc., are concerned, have only recently begun to take stock of just how many of our actions and reactions are influenced by the messages that we encounter daily coming to us by way of the above-named media. We have only recently recognized that ouI textbooks, as well as most of our other visual media, have almost completely ignored the presence of black Americans.
