Abstract

본 연구는 대학생의 비교과 참여 경험에 대한 질적분석을 통해 대학생의 비교과 프로그램의 참여동기, 활동내용, 성찰 및 변화의 연관성을 분석하고자 한다. 이에 본 연구는 2020년-21년 2년 동안 비교과 프로그램에 참여하고 후기에 공모한 164명의 에세이를질적분석하였다. NVivo를 활용하여 개방형코딩을 통한 질적분석 결과, 대분류는 참여동기, 활동내용, 성찰 및 변화로 나타났다. 참여동기는 학습, 공동체, 경험, 대인관계, 시간관리, 어학, 관심으로 분류되었다. 활동내용은 학습방법, 학습계획, 학습내용, 공유, 책임감, 사고, 협력학습, 이해로 분류되었다. 성찰 및 변화를 분석한 결과, 학업성취, 감정변화, 도전, 자기성찰, 마음가짐, 상호작용, 지속성, 시간관리, 만족감으로 분류되었다. 코딩유사성을 활용하여 군집분석한 결과, 참여동기, 활동내용, 성찰 및 변화와의 연관성이다양하게 나타났다. 이러한 군집분석 결과는 향후 대학관계자들이 비교과 프로그램을구성하는데 의미있는 그림을 제공하여, 비교과 교육과정 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 것이다.This study aimed to examine the correlation between university students’ motivation for participation in extracurricular programs, extracurricular program activities, and reflection. For this study, 164 university students who submitted an essay about participation in an extracurricular program were examined by using an open coding process and cluster analyses. Three main themes, motivation for participation in extracurricular programs, extracurricular program activities, and reflection, were identified. Sub-themes for motivation for participation were learning, community, experience, social relationships, time management, linguistics, and interest. Sub-themes for extracurricular program activities were learning methods, study plan, learning content, sharing, responsibility, thinking, collaborative learning, and comprehension. Sub-themes for reflection were academic achievement, emotional change, challenge, introspection, attitude of mind, interaction, sustainability, time management, and satisfaction. Cluster analyses by using coding similarity showed that there were diverse relationships between sub-themes of motivation for participation in extracurricular programs, extracurricular program activities, and reflection. This study provides insight into the higher education extracurricular by explore the correlations between university students’ motivation, activities, and reflection to extracurricular.
