Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the recognition and the satisfaction of school sports club in middle school students. To achieve the purpose, the data was collected from 539 middle school students who are participating in school sports club as convenient sampling. The analysis results are as follows: First, the activity types of school sports club were competition activities (63.5%), challenge activities (21.7%), expressive activities (14.3%), and health activities (0.6%). Second, boys had higher recognition than girls for school sports club. Third, 1st- graders had higher recognition than 3rd- graders for school sports club. Forth, 2nd- graders had higher satisfaction than 3rd- graders for school sports club. Fifth, the recognition and the satisfaction was higher in the upper grade students than the lower grade students. In conclusions, overall recognition and satisfaction were high in school sports club.
