Abstract
Historical studies on Korean dictionaries for international learners have been unprecedented so far. In this article, the present state and research trends of the study of Korean dictionaries was investigated and analyzed. To this end, 88 relevant dissertations and journal articles were selected as base research subjects. Following that, all subjects were analyzed according to the following three criteria. First, dissertations and journal articles were differentiated and analyzed according to different period from the 1990s to present, as well as every five years in the same period. Secondly, research subjects were investigated based on different learners and languages. Thirdly, the analysis was proceeded by different 8 topics. Finally, the tendency and characteristic of this study was identified, and a research direction was proposed.
