Abstract

SynopsisAn account is given of the variation in wing pattern found in an examination of 958 adult females of Anopheles funestus, taken over a period of 12 months on the Kaduna district of Nigeria. The correlation between rainfall and the colour of the scales on the veins and the correlation between the pattern of scaling on individual veins is discussed.
