Abstract
In order to reduce the loss due to inundation disasters, it is important that disaster responders and residents themselves understand the impact of disasters. So it is profitable to show the whole of the impact caused by inundation disasters.In this study, at first we analyzed the comments of residents who suffered from the 2000 Tokai Flood disaster, and showed the whole of the impact on residents' daily lives. Then, we also analyzed the commercial sales data of household items both before and after the 2000 Tokai Flood disaster, and calculated socioeconomic rehabilitation index (RI). We observed the trend of household items' demand before and after the disaster. Consequently, it was shown that many problems occurred in residents' daily lives not only right after the disaster but also during a period of two months after. And the people affected by the disaster felt their daily lives came back when they finished repairing their house and bought new household items.
