Abstract
Reichardt's analysis for heat transfer to turbulent flow in smooth pipe is extended to drag reducing viscoelastic fluids. Velocity profile expression by Deissler is modified to account for changes brought about by viscoelastic drag reducing fluids. The final correlation compares very favourably over a wide range of Prandtl (or Schmidt) numbers, with experimental data.
