Abstract

Semantic Web enables new accessing and managing methods of Web resources. The realization of Semantic Web is based on the availability of rich semantic infrastructure. Activities of building semantic infrastructure are usually collaborative and infrequent. Low coverage to personal interests of semantic infrastructure prevents developers from building personalized Semantic Web applications. In contrast to activities of building semantic infrastructure, press clipping or Web contents bookmarking are common events in our daily lives. In addition to the relatively higher frequency, press clipping and Web contents bookmarking clearly reflect personal interests, which is a clearer goal for accumulating personalized semantic infrastructure. In this paper, an interest-driven development method (IDD) is used to solve the availability problem of semantic infrastructure. An architecture, called IDEA, is proposed to assist the interest-driven development and evolution of personalized semantic infrastructure through clipping Internet media of personal interests.
