Abstract

American Gothic Revival architecture, as an architectural style with deep historical and cultural connotations, occupied a prominent position in the field of American architecture in the 19th century. The purpose of this study is to explore how Davis' architectural work influenced the development of Gothic Revival architecture in the United States and to reveal its unique place in American culture. Through an indepth analysis of Davis s representative architectural works, this paper shows how he fused Gothic elements with modern design concepts to create an architectural art that is both historical and modern. These works not only show the aesthetic value of architecture, but also reflect the cultural trends and values of American society at that time.
