Abstract
The quantum dynamics of a moving particle with a magnetic quadrupole moment that interacts with electric and magnetic fields is introduced. Then, it is discussed which conditions the external fields must satisfy so that an analogue of the Landau quantization can be obtained. Finally, by dealing with the lowest Landau level associated with the magnetic quadrupole system, an analogue of the quantum Hall conductivity is obtained. image
