Abstract
Abstract The optimization of a class of linear deterministic time-invariant multi-dimonsional distributed parameter control systems is presented. Both unconstrained and constrained, optimizations are formulated as two-point boundary value problems. A conjugate gradient method of solution is proposed. The theory is applied to a two-du(iensional heat conduction system by way of an example.
