Abstract
An adaptive algorithm for detecting onset and termination of signals, as well as for decoding signals on the basis of the analysis of the phase trajectory, is considered. The signals considered are short phase-shift-keyed information packets in noise. It is demonstrated that the algorithm can be realized in the form of a two-stage adaptive filter. The developed algorithm is implemented by means of a digital logic integrated circuit and a signal processor.
