Abstract

This report describes a completely transistorized scintillometer equipment for aerial radiometric surveys, registering the total gamma radiation background. All information of interest, namely, flight-path, count-rate, and altitude is recorded by means of a twin-lens 16 mm camera. With a fully loaded camera it should be possible to traverse an area corresponding to about 200 km flight-line with a 60-mile flight-speed making one exposure per second.
