Abstract

Due to the unknown prior information of the target, it is difficult to initialize the frequency of beamformer adjust-ment, and the instantaneously considerable errors occur when a target suddenly maneuvers. An adaptive beamformer adjustment frequency method for The Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) based on Current Statistical (CS) dynamics model is proposed in this paper, by updating the beamformer adjustment frequency parameter in CS model adaptively according to EKF's output result of each step. Simulation results are presented comparing original CS model to adaptive CS model in different situations and illustrating the adaptive algorithm proposed in this paper has a better performance.
