Abstract
A previously described adaptive-gain tracking filter with the position only measurements is extended to models with additionally measured velocity or acceleration. The devised filter adapts the full matrix gain, copes with sensors cross-correlation, and improves the position-only prototype. By using a prediction error method, the adaptive gain always follows the Kalman gain. The filter proves efficient in scenarios with piecewise constant acceleration.
