Abstract

In the paper an Adaptive Filter with PEriodic Gain (AFPEG) is presented, which is applicable to Discrete-time Linear Periodic Systems (DLPS) and nonlinear systems with a periodic nominal trajectory. Its convergence properties subject to the DLPS are proved. Compared to conventional adaptive filtering algorithms, the AFPEG reduces on-line computation with limited storage requirements. The AFPEG is applied to an autonomous satellite navigation system. Simulation results demonstrate its effectiveness in improving the accuracy of navigation.
