Abstract
The paper presents an adaptive analysis method to assess the ship structures based on the meshless local Petrov-Galerkin method. The displacement fleld approximation function is obtained by employing Moving-least Square technique, and the governing formulation and stifiness matrix of the structures are established. Employing Delaunay triangulation reflnement scheme, the adaptive algorithm of the governing equations is achieved. Numerical examples show the solutions are good agreement between FEMs and the proposed method, which verifles the validity of the presented method for stress analysis of the ship structures.
