Abstract

This paper deals with an adaptive actuator failure compensation scheme for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy control systems with multiple input-output delays. Based on the approximation-based approach, a prediction form of T-S fuzzy systems has been derived. An adaptive failure compensation controller is designed to accommodate uncertain failures for systems with redundant actuators, for which new system parametrizations and controller structures have been developed. An illustrative example is presented to verify the desired performance of the new structure of adaptive fuzzy control systems. Simulation results clarify the stability and signal bounding properties of the system.
