Abstract

While assessing a skin lesion using reflectance confocal microscopy, it is still challenging to identify and mark the exact location of a specific feature of interest on the skin. Previous reports have proposed the use of a dressing tape that is centrally perforated with a punch for studying a specific area using reflectance confocal microscopy.1 Although this is an excellent method to correlate specific features observed under a dermatoscope, it is less suitable for confocal mapping or the assessment of ill-defined tumors because the tape is fixed to the skin.
