Abstract
AFTER several weeks of generally diminished sun-spot activity, a large sunspot developed rapidly on the sun's disk between February 26 and 28. The spot was apparently associated with marked chromo-spheric activity on the latter date. The time of central meridian passage of the disturbed area was February 27.3.
