Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to develop students’ value literacy through evidence-based activities within the framework of respect, responsibility, justice and patriotism. The study was carried out in accordance with the principles of action research, one of the qualitative research methods. The research used the “emancipatory/developmental/critical action research approach”, one of the types of action research. Research participants were identified through random sampling. In this framework, the research was conducted with 7th grade students in the autumn semester of the academic year 2021-2022. The research data was collected using the questionnaire, classroom communication logs and student products. Content analysis was used to process the research data. The analysis of the data revealed that evidence-based teaching significantly improved the students’ value level of respect, responsibility, justice and patriotism.
