Abstract

The paper presents the fundamentals of a bipolar junction transistor amplifier and includes the following aspects: choice of Q point, classes of operation, incremental equivalent circuit, frequency response, cascading, broadbanding, and pulse testing. The emphasis is on understanding of the fundamentals, rather than rigorous analysis or elaborate design procedure.
