Abstract
The design and performance of an Nd <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">+3</sup> :YAG pumped, short cavity dye laser-dye amplifier system is reported. This system produces narrow bandwidth, broadly tunable picosecond pulses with energies in the millijoule range.
