Abstract
Pulses from a colliding pulse modelocked dye laser operating around 546 nm have been amplified within an optical fibre through stimulated Raman scattering in a counterpropagating configuration. Gain values of up to 25 dB have been achieved at a repetition rate of 1 kHz.
