Abstract
Ampicillin is one of the most widely used antibiotics in obstetrics, with well-established pharmacokinetics and previous studies elucidating ampicillin levels in maternal serum, amniotic fluid and fetal serum after doses maternal administration. However, no studies exist determining whether metabolites of ampicillin are present in vaginal transudates.
