Abstract

The ribosomal AT-L30 proteins from Streptosporangium corrugatum and Kibdelosporangium aridum were analyzed by partial amino acid sequencing of their N termini. The results of amino acid sequence homology revealed that S. corrugatum is separable at the generic level from the members of the Streptosporangium roseum group and the Streptosporangium viridogriseum group. K. aridum is also considered an independent genus that is separable from the three Streptosporangium groups.
