Abstract

AMERICAN TRADING IN FOREIGN SECURITIES has increased sharply in recent months. This increased activity has accompanied the growing interest of Americans in the economic development of foreign countries and the relaxation of the ban against trading securities of many former enemy countries. In view of the current interest in foreign securities the following analysis consisting of (i) American trading in foreign shares, and (2) American trading in foreign bonds is presented.
