Abstract
ABSTRACTDonald Trump is not an isolated case. He is in the historical tradition of reactionary moments that surface in the United States, which make their appearance in American history and culture, whether prohibition, McCarthyism, or the Tea Party. Trump is pursuing the imperialist policies of the American “neo-cons” who want to impose their worldview on the rest of the planet. The American Dream has given hope to millions of immigrants who came from the entire planet to try their luck in the country where “all is possible,” but it periodically turns into a nightmare. This is what we are witnessing today. The Donald Trump nightmare is nothing but the other side of the American dream. The other side of the Obama coin. The dark face of enlightened, democratic, and liberal America.
