Abstract
This symposium will describe the role of the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry in translating research evidence into clinical practice. The publishing team will provide an overview of defining impact and the methodology for measuring impact. The members of the AJGP editorial board will describe metrics used to evaluate the impact of research evidence on the readership of the journal and the field of geriatric mental health. The Editor-in-Chief and three Associate Editors will describe the top three papers in the areas of translational research, clinical interventions, and epidemiological studies with the highest impact in the last year.
