Abstract
THE investigations of the hydrographical department of received notice in these columns, and of the reports under consideration, two belong to a group which has been described at some length. These are papers Nos. 262 and 264, dealing with the conditions of stream and river flow on the South Atlantic coast and the eastern Gulf of Mexico (M. R. Hall and R. H. Bolster), and on the St. Lawrence basin (C. C. Covert, A. H. Horton, and R. H. Bolster).
