Abstract

The specificities of samples of the «golden age» of the American editorial design are highlighted based on the analyze of the two 1960-s magazines: «Esquire», magazine for men and «Harper’s Bazaar», magazine for women. The covers of these outstanding magazines are analyzed. Simultaneously, the peculiarities of the origin of the American editorial design, that had huge influence on the vector of development of the worldwide editorial design, are disclosed.
