Abstract

ABSTRACTIt is difficult to speak about Canada without reference to its older half-sibling, a world superpower and primary trading partner, with whom it shares a continent. Understanding the psychology of one’s country and political self is key to one’s individuation as a citizen. Thus, this paper compares the spiritus loci or collective attitudes of the United States of America and Canada as symbolized in both country’s primary archetypes and cultural complexes.
