Abstract

Between 1971 and 2002, Amerasia published approximately 100 articles, essays, and creative works (not including book reviews) on all aspects of Korean American history and life, by Korean American, Korean, and American scholars, by community activists, by creative writers, and by students. Authors were not limited to Korean Americans but included African American, Latino, and Asian American writers. This is in addition to UCLA Asian American Studies Center symposiums, beginning in the early 1980s and continuing through the aftermath of the 1992 Los Angeles Rebellion/Riots that focused on the Korean American Experience.
