Abstract

Ambicoloration, which was complete except for a small unpigmented area on the blind side of the head and a portion of the pectoral fin, was noted in a petrale sole (Eopsetta jordani) taken off the west coast of Vancouver Island, B.C. The specimen also showed anomalous development of the dorsal fin and had two fused vertebrae near the caudal peduncle.
