Abstract

The book considers the ethics and practices of amateur images in the context of global news media. It aims at providing a more informed understanding of how the fast-developing trend of citizen camera-reporting is recasting the familiar forms and practices of journalism, and of its increasing importance in defining public knowledge and collective memory.
