Abstract
After independence, it is a big question that how to involve all the villagers in the process of good governance. Which was one of the prime dreams of Mahatma Gandhi. It is not only a big deal but also a challenge to execute the integral development by involving every member to solving each problem and execution of every dream in this ever-changing world. Community Communication is one of the important tools to excel in the process of integral development of a community or a village. From the early days of human civilisation to till today human beings are taking the advantages of community communicatiowtn tools like Panchayat meeting, gathering places, tea stalls, festivals, folk music and art programs etc. These community communication tools are developed and enriched by the best-collected essences of human experiences, philosophy and ethics of that time. Due to the various socio-cultural aspects these tools and techniques of communication are also changing with the passing of time. So it is essential for everyone to be conscious of the negative and positive consequences of these changes and to adopt the best one. So the integral development of community can be achieved by the most accepted way of community communication. In the interest of choosing “the best community communication policy,” this article tries to figure out the logical and practical implication of Gandhian principle and practice of communication. Along with the drawbacks and problems of present communication mechanism, this article also discusses various aspects of advance community communication as a solution to these problems. It also focuses on an amalgamation of Gandhian communication policy and advance community communication in the present days. Directly Gandhi never claimed himself as a communication theorist rather he was a social reformer and a great freedom fighter but his work and principles are the hidden treasure of inspiration and mechanisms which are essential to be adopted in community communication.
