Abstract

regarding time off driving following medical problems (as a representative example, the prescribed time off for a private driver following angioplasty is a week in UK but only 2 days in Australia). However, the Australian publication contains more sections giving detailed advice on various conditions, and tools such as Bruce Protocol nomograms, Epworth and AUDIT questionnaires. This publication is essential for every Australian doctor. It may also be useful for doctors (particularly occupational physicians) in other jurisdictions to compare and contrast their own risk assessments with various sources, not just those originating in their own countries. It is, like ‘At a glance . . .’, freely available on the internet.
