AL-WASATIYYA PADA BUDAYA BANJAR: RELEVANSI PENERAPAN METODE DAKWAH ARSYAD AL-BANJARI DI ERA DISRUPSI

Abstract

Arsyad Al-Banjari is a Banjarese theologian who lived in 1710-1812 M. He played an important role to spread the cemprehension of Islam in South Kalimantan until now. He began the da’wah after 30 years of learning about Islam the Middle East. The points of interest are: 1) Although he learned Islam in Arab for the long time, but he still kept a local culture that influenced by religions before, and didn’t wiped out them. For the example are: ‘Bamandi-mandi’, ‘Baayun Mulud’, ‘Maulid Habsyi’ and some laws. It showed that his thought and consideration are not stiff. 2) Learning system with working -farming- that practiced by Arsyad Al-Banjari to his students was effective, because he taught was not only intended to spread and strengthen the students to understand about Islam, but also as enhancement the independent economy motive for local communities. It verified that his effort to applied religion and science such as economy and management with balanced. At once as rejection the assumption that while learning the religion, somebody has to left the worldly life. This research is a historical library that focused on proving the role of Arsyad Al-Banjari and that Banjar is flexible and available for the new matter with strong determination, they don’t reject the art in religious.
