Abstract
Keith Alverson, Executive Director of the International Geosphere Biosphere Programme Core Project on Past Global Changes (PAGES) in Bern, Switzerland, has begun a 3‐year term as an Eos editor. He will cover ocean sciences. Alverson said, “I look forward to increasing my participation in [AGU] as one of the editors of Eos. I am particularly interested in taking on this challenge in order to foster interdisciplinary and international interactions as part of a holistic approach to the study of the Earth system.” He said he will also seek to promote international research initiatives within the AGU, as well as enhance the current impact of AGU and Eos internationally.
