Abstract

Due to several interesting properties such as, low thermal expansion coefficient, excellent thermal shock resistance, high melting point, good compatibility with non-ferrous metals etc, aluminium titanate has been finding an increasing applications as an Engineering ceramic material in different areas. In this paper review has been made on the different approaches of synthesiszing aluminium titanate based ceramic materials and their applications in the emerging areas.
